Let Me Pray for You

I’ll start:  Sometimes, I feel too socially awkward to be used by God.

And yes, I’m going to pray for myself, too!

Father, we come to you today baring our fears and insecurities.  I confess sometimes I feel “less than” socially.  Help me remember that it’s not about me, it’s about You. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”  It is Your Spirit that will empower me to reach others, make connections, and share your love!  Thank You for using small, simple souls like me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Until next time,

Shelby

Sometimes I feel too invalid or belittled by others to be used by God.

I am not a controlling person, but I have a servant’s heart. My family and friends are very willing to accept whatever I can do for them or their families. I am happy to help. Yet, I also have learned that many times I speak of God or faith and am belittled or treated as though I am being patted on the head. Last week I got pneumonia in both lungs and figured out quickly that most people could not care less. I was now not in a place to serve them, so I was off their radar. God has been healing me all week, and I am so thankful, but I am still wounded and tired of feeling insignificant. I am praying for mental strength and repair of my heart.
