“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1-2)

Do you ever crack open your Bible and the words seem to fall flat? When my heart feels this, I have learned to pause. And I pray, “Father, help me find more of you today. I don’t just want words, I want YOU.”
Friends, reading our Bible isn’t about us. It isn’t about history. And it is not a one-sided interaction with an impersonal text.
It is a conversation with our Living God.
So let’s not just “read our Bibles.” Let’s passionately seek to meet God in HIs Word.
Until next time,
Shelby
