Heart Wide Open

2 Corinthians 6:11: We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians; our heart is wide open.

I am feeling called to vulnerability.  Called to a higher degree of transparency so that I can offer connection and hope to others.

While I don’t think this means baring my soul to every stranger, sometimes God brings someone into my life who needs to hear a piece of my story.  And that can feel frightening.

We humans don’t like feeling vulnerable. Yet the people we are most drawn to are themselves vulnerable.  They are authentic, open, and real.

They are the people who aren’t ashamed of their scars.  People whose rough edges have been smoothed by even rougher trials.  People unashamedly broken—restored, but with divine cracks that allow Christ’s light to pour through.  They love others with hearts wide open.

And so I will seek to answer God’s call.

Perhaps you will join me, and we can be vulnerable together.

Until next time,

Shelby
