“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity. Let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices and announce his works with shouts of joy” (Psalm 107:21-22, CSB).

To quote Madame Blueberry from VeggieTales, “A thankful heart is a happy heart.”
I have tested this and found it to be true.
In the midst of my hardest days, I explored the power of gratitude. I thanked God for the smallest, simplest things. The sound of birdsong outside my window. The way the sunlight fell on the morning fog of my little country road. The smile of a co-worker who asked about my day.
Dear one, when we shift our gaze to all we have for which to be thankful, it leads our hearts to a place of joy.
And as Christians, we have much for which to offer thanks.
In our weakness God gives strength.
In difficulty He promises goodness.
In broken places He provides healing.
And above all, the Lord has extended His faithful, lavish love to us in the form of Jesus.
So as Thanksgiving approaches, let us all “offer thanksgiving sacrifices and announce His works with shouts of joy” (Psalm 107:21-22, CSB)!
Doing so will glorify God and grow in us a “happy heart.”
Until next time,
Shelby
