And of Each New Year
To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).

Sometimes my small, simple soul needs a reminder—a reminder of just how big our God really is.
And what better time to fix our gazes on the greatness of God than when a new year stretches open and unknown before us?
What better time to remember that in His power is protection? In His all-seeing knowledge is true intimacy? And in His unfathomable love is redemption?
Yes, friend—let us remember and offer praise.
Our God spun out the universe with the power of His word (Genesis 1).
He formed each of us—individually and uniquely—in love (Psalm 139:13-18).
And on the cross He forever defeated sin and death (1 Peter 2:24; Revelation 1:18).
So as we face the unfolding of another year, let our hearts cry out and give praise, “To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).
Until next time,
Shelby
